ok thanks for the info lights will stay off for 3 days i will leave the room dark and let him get used to his tank in his own time, he has enough places to hide i will do a water change tommoro down the other end of the tank and leave everthing where it is. wot temp should i have its about 77 at the moment.

If I was doing flakes, I would do Omega one, but if you watch flakes tend to come right back out thier gills, hence why I use pellets as it's staple diet. Hikari works good,such as cichlid gold as well as cichlid staple, and my oscar loves it. They come in small,medium, and large pellet sizes.
