remove the chop stick, the fish is stressed enough. Sounds like a swim bladder problem. If you have a seperate tank, even if its a ten gallon, get him in there and get your temp up, 77 is too cold, at the least 82-84 but do not go higher then 87-88 or this can stress the fish out even more and cause him not to eat. Keep the light out and be patient, give him sometime even if he's not eating.

please increase temp to 87 min and lower your ph to 7 or under if you wanna keep keeping cichla..
