STOP....................................................!!!!!

I have a AG 125G.

My friends... there is not a day that goes by that I don't kick myself for not getting a 150G, (which is actually a 165G) which has the same foot print. If you are looking at an All Glass or Aqueon (?)... then seriously consider the Mega Flow option.

Get the bigger tank... you will not regret it!!!

Filtration - W/D especially if you do the Mega flow...!!!!

Spend more on the better, larger tank first... you will not regret it...!

I agree, lfs employee told me to get the 150 instead of the 125. Larger the tank, healthier the fish. I use (2) Rena xp3's, one did not do the job even though xp3's state they can handle 275g, rule of thumb is to double the size of filtration.

Yup , I skip anything it says on the box really the output and tank size it can handle are both un realistic. The output is less with media and we all know about the size tanks they claim to handle. I just shoot for a 6X+ turnover and it has always worked out well. While it is not necessary I like clean water with no floaties. Basically you only need to have your bio load in check (IE ammonia and nitrite both at 0) But more never hurts:)

That's not accurate. Just the presence of debris can cause stress in many species, and dissolved organics can be truly killer regardless of whether they're contributing to the nitrogen cycle.
