HELP PLEASE..

ok i had bought a pleco and put him through the QT tank and then he got whitespots and i moved him back to QT tank but he died and now im freaking out when i put it in my tank with other fish im sure they got it now two ID sharks 2 clown loaches and a knife fish all soft skin fish and possibly on my silver dollar! ill put a pic of my pleco that had the whitespots first and its the same thing on all of the infected fish but ive been treating tank with melafix the past couple days cause the infected pleco was in there i was trying to be safe but i guess it didnt work but any help will be greatly appreciated and what medicine should i use for whitespots and please dont tell me salt cause im not a fan of the aqua salt!

any anti-fungal rememdy raise the water temp too and take the carbon out of your filter. also take alot of the substrate out and boil it.

What temperture do you keep your tank at? In my opinion it sounds/ looks like ich so as much as you do not like salt ...... bump the temp and add salt. If you look under freshwater diseases sticky you will find more detailed info.

i always keep my tank around 78 to 80! im just wanting to get a positive ID on the sickness and go get some medicine so i can get rid of this crap!

i already have the carbon out i dont use carbon unless im taking some type of medicine out of water!

so you think i could get by with just using quick cure??

and also i have melafix in my tank cause i was trying to get the noses on my ID sharks to heal up cause the always bust there nose up on the glass when i clean my tank but should i get the melafix out first or can i just start with another treatment!

im thinking a good water change and then using quick cure!

From the pics it looks like ich. Pretty easy to treat. Keep in mind each fish is different, and some may succumb more easily to diseases than others.

Don't be scared man, it'll be ok....

I have several Cl's and a couple of Plecos in my tank. Haven't had a bout of ich in a while, however when it hits I crank the tank to about 82-3 ish and dose em with Coppersafe. Once I figured out how to properly treat, I haven't had anymore losses.
