He hasn't been alone he's been with the smaller 3 inch jag. And he doesent even show any signs of aggression towards the jag only the dempsey, but the dempseys bigger

And that's exactly why. When you put a bigger fish in a smaller fish already established tank, he's going to try and assert dominance.

Oscars still chasing jack but not catching him, jack didn't go after jag at all now but could I leave him in overnight or will the oscar kill it?

Never mind, now jack took over and he's showing the oscar who's boss. Nothing major just little fin nipping and chasing, will they be okay or should I swap tanks?

Both never work out in the long term IME. Especially when CA cichlids like JDs are already used to cooler temps in their natural environment.
Sometimes some fish won't tolerate others and the only solution is a divider or remove a fish.
