HELP PLEASE

As far as filtration

HOB
Aquaclear is the industry standard really. They last forever, no cartridge to replace, easy to clean, various sizes, can get replacement parts.
Canisters
Normally quieter, longer more involved cleaning, more chance of leaks. If taken care of do a good job, if not taken care of turn into nitrates factories.

I agree with dr exum dr exum because your aquarium would be infected by Ich. Cyst are dropped off from host fish onto the substrate so make sure you gravel vac your substrate. Also make sure the Clown Loaches can tolerate what ever medicine you choose. I recommend a Aquaclear Filter depending on the size of your aquarium.

I’d get going on the ICH protocol if that’s what you have on your hands...

Put Ich treatment into the search function or I’m sure there is a sticky in this section.

Add salt per instructions / raise temp
Thanks, thats what ive been doing (resolving the ick) but then saw the gill not moving so panicked and made this post

Oh let me be clear when you gravel vac water changes are necessary the Cyst must be removed.

as far as ich goes, adding aquarium non iodized salt while increasing water temp helps hasten the parasite life cycle and kill them. juvenile EBJD are notoriously fragile so even with perfect water they tend to die
dammmnnnnn thats not good news. well if they end up dying, any suggestions?
