Help please..

is this fin rot? I have already lost one these are the last too they are in very bad shape. I just bought them and overnight they look like this, there fins were a little banged up at the LFS but I thought it was due to fighting. Please help. I added Melafix, salt and raised the temp to 84.

Could be, but what you've already done it great. See what happens in 2 days. Looks chewed on but fin rot usually has a more fungi growth on it.

whatever it is, i had an identicle case. i lost several fish to it and then i used the melafix. it ended up saving the remaining fish that had it. just see what happens and good luck.

i just added some more melafix and salt. i added some fungus clear which contains...nitrofurazone, furzolidone, and potassium dichromate...the tank params are good except for nitrate and nitrite which are a little high at 1.0PPM Nitrite and 40PPM Nitrate. I just did a 50% WC today before i noticed the rott.
