It looks a lot like ich to me. It looks very different on armored plecos then regular fish. I finally figured out how small they are, this makes the ich seem larger. Google ich and pleco and you will see they are similar.. Sick plecos typically do better with hot not cooler temps.
For the 600 and 97 86-88f usually isn't a problem. One old fashioned way using the higher temp is to move them to another tank every 12 hours. The only problem is having extra tanks and heaters ready to go. The pros used 2 tanks but I used 3. The adults produce eggs that fall to the bottom line of the tank. By moving the fish there is no host and they die. After a few cycles the adult ich dies and there are no new eggs. For me this worked with clown loaches and a few plecos.
Does not look like fungus because they are discrete nodules. Fungus tends to be hairy or slimy. Columnar is usually localized.
If your tank has been stable for a while start with the most common and work thru the list.
