my golden pleco in my chiclid pond appears to have red spots near its ventral fins and also does have a swollen belly
is something wrong with it ?
if yes what can i do to help it ??????
shall try catching him to take some pics, he was pretty close to the surface when i observed this but when i tried to catch him he went to the bottom of the pond(6ft deep)
hope he comes to the surafce again

common guys there must be at least someone who has encountered this
not only am i worried about my plecos but there are loads of african chiclids in my pond
do i have to remove the pleco or not
sorry still couldn't lay my hands on him(for the pics) as he is definitely not coming up

It is hard to diagnose anything without seeing the fish. How can you tell that his belly is bloated if it is a pond?

If you think it is ill, then yes quarentining it would be a good idea, but to be honest without a pic it's hard to tell what's wrong... bloat?
TBF I'm not even sure what species your talking about either so a pic would be helpful.

had caught him when he was pretty close to the top
but while i was looking at him, he kind of got agitated and sort of wriggled back into the pond
tomorrow might take a dip into the pond and take him out
i was sold this pleco as a golden pleco
pics tomorrow sure

went diving in the pond but couldn't find the little fellow
do plecos jump out or something
