I know nothing about roach, but perch will take about any live food and you should be able to wean them onto pellets.

try frozen krill and blood worms. try not to use feeders.
not bashing, but they will need a bigger tank fairly soon, they also like lots of hiding places and are a cold water fish.

bigger tank on way. their only 2 or 3 inch the now.
tried bloodworm, pelets, brine shrimp they only thing there eating the now r maggots

Earth worms should be a good first food, once you get them eating regularly (don't over feed) you can try to get them to things like freeze dried krill or pellets.

I just caught some Yellow perch as well but I'm starting them off on feeder guppies. I want to get them to eat first to ease the stress while introducing pellets (Hikari Cichlid pellets) I also have a sunfish in with them that they follow around he's already starting to eat pellet and they seem to try the stuff he eats. Once they get it in their mouths they will soon realize its food and hopefully switch over when I stop with the feeders. Nice looking little guys you have there btw.

cheers ppl for info
i've fished for years and these are the first fish i've eva caught so l thought i'm keeping them.LOL.
this is also my first cold water tank
