I have a 90g and a 55 and a 20party and a 5 all with tropical fish. Powers out big storm can't d drive anywhere only have internet on my phone how the **** do I stop my fish from freezing?

no running water? mmm just hope:(

Wrap the tanks in blankets, cover the tops, and pray. I would try to track down a generator even a small camping one.

depending on how long the powers out you cant be sure.
if its only 2 hours they should be fine
but if its the whole day im not sure if they will make it.

if you can't drive anywhere, the best you can do is try to insulate the tank so the temp drops slower. If you can drive bucket what you can and get them to a place with heat. But as Rareexoticfish said if its a temp outage then should should be fine. Also what kind of fish do you have, some fish can tolerate lower temps better?

A gas stove is not appropriate to use as a heating method for anything but food.

Wrap the tank in blankets, keep the lids closed and every hour or so, agitate the surface of the water to help oxygenate it. Don't feed the fish at all. If you have canister filters, you will want to open them to allow room air in to prevent the water from becoming stagnate.

I'm guessing you are experiencing the power outage due to the winter storm in your area.

Really? Mine heats water quite well.

I'm sure you knew what I meant ;) but for anyone else in doubt, please only use the gas stove for its intended purpose. Carbon monoxide is deadly.
