It's most likely a "anus" cut that made the insides show up. Feed less and clean water would cure is. "Flashing" on rocks and hard gravel will cause this.

That looks like a prolapse.I had a young zul that came down with it before.

looking closely it looks like a part of like an intestine which is folded sometimes its out then sometimes it goes back in... this brok of my since it was about 5 inches i noticed that the front part of his stomach never got big it was only the back part of his belly that expanded whenever he had something to eat. im thinking it might be that his digestive tract is alittle misplaced or something? this guy also has a pretty big a hole for intestine to go out like that damn...
now im gonna feed less first hopefully this guy will be ok. i mean he acts normal still expect for that protrusion, looks like an earthworm sticking out thats why its probably best i separate him first coz i see the other fish looking at the intestine like its a snack... 0h man... i get no luck with my fish tsktsk.
whats prolapse?

Prolapse is when the fish pushes it's intestine out through it's anus, usually due to some kind of irritation.

yikes, is there a cure or something? water in my tank should be good i have him with really healthy growouts, all are okay except this guy, this guy is actually really active and everything seems fine except the prolapse

Clean water and feed less bro.

Yeah it does not seem to bother them but it has to be at least a little uncomfortable lol...Internal parasites could be the cause, what is the fish eating?Sometimes fish will pull the organ back in on it's own.I used a solution of epsom salt disolved in water and poured into the fish's mouth with a dropper and the next week I treated the tank with Prazi...Do a search on intestinal prolapse and read over the threads as the details are not fresh in my mind right now.
