My oscar died of this. just wait til lupin or someone will tell u and this goes in the health issues or diseases i cant remember what its call

it usually a bacterial infection in the eye caused by scratches to it.
to improve i would treat with a mild antibiotic.

and make sure water quality is very good so no ammonia, nitrite, and very little nitrate perferably zero if possible with your filtration. this almost never end up with the fish dieing but i would definitely treat it.

if you can get the fish to eat food with antibiotic on it, i would do that in attempt to get more into system.

Pop-eye is a symptom of something (bad water, injury, etc) and not a disease in itself. I'd stop with all the medicines-too much too fast in only 3 days. And keep the water pristine. Meaning do a 30% or more water change a day until it starts getting better. I've never had pop-eye in any of my fish but I've bought fish with it and cured it easily with super perfect water quality. Maybe I got lucky? I don't know. But fresh clean water is the best medicine there is for just about anything.

how long does it take to heal and is he gonna loose his eye. sorry but i never had to deal with popeye.

Along with the making sure the water is clean and mild antiboitics, you should also make sure the temp is up. This can def help.

water quality is good, temp is 83-84. i think its eye might of gotten scratched while moving him into different tank. so im guessing it was scratched. cause theres no damage from other fish. and he sticks to himself. no one picks on him at all he actually still runs the tank. im just worried it might have been contagious. anyone know how long till it heals?
