JUST DID A WATER CHANGE AND 1 OF MY BIG NISHIKI KOI IS FLOATING AT THE BOTTOM AND SWIMMING UPSIDE DOWN BUT STILLL BRAETHING DONT WANNA LOSE HIM IS IT TO LATE....WATER PAR. ARE GOOD..HE WAS FINE B4 WATER CHANGE:confused:

Did you use dechlorinator? Was the water temp similar?

ya water conditioner thats it...water temp the same

If they were outside, I might suggest shock, but since it's inside, I'm not sure - Maybe your water company added something new recently for spring ????? Just a thought? I've noticed that Koi are a bit prone to shock during water changes, etc. I use stress coat for conditioning new water. Was this a massive water change or? First one this year?

no do a water change the same way every 5 days cause of the large amount of waste they produce and put in the aqua clear or aqua salt every time

he is on his side now on the bottom just breating weird tried to hold him upright and move him back and forth...no luck still turned over

Sorry to read of your problem.
I never use conditioners; I limit city water additions to 10% max, no problem . BUT, I did forget the hose once and did a 70%? change; It took 12 hr for my 5 Koi ( 18" +/-) to die. Even though I moved them to a 2000gal established (aged) "spare" pond (12' above ground swimming pool full of Koi fry). I now add water with a needle valve ,it is on nearly all the time. It adds about 10 gal/Hr to 1,200 gal system.

my brothers albino rainbow shark did that once. it was like that for over a week and then.......................................................................................................it it died.

i hope you have better luck than us
