I think $30 is very steep for a JD, here regular JDs go for $5 sometimes less, and EBJDs go for about $40

She is very pretty!

I’m just going to put this out there bc you asked, I do not know if there is any real proof or if it is true...but I have read somewhere that regular JDs that look more maroon (red/purple) could be blue gene carriers.

It could explain why she was on the pricy side?(guess it also depends how readily available JDs are in your area too)

Jeff Rapps was selling this type of JD, and it was labelled as originating from a Germany breeder. I've seen a few locally at one of my fish stores, so I would surmise it is a rare bred variant.
