Those fins are ONLY pointed at the end, but they are very round at the base.

Look here, look at this male red devil's fins. Look how long, skinny, and pointed they are. See the difference compared to your female?

hey guys,

just got a short video if that helps, but IMHO i think its female, although the fins are pointed at the end and a nuchal hump is present and prominant looking at the vent is a dead giveaway to say female. i am hoping to sell her so do any of you guys know what you would pay for it? so i can mark a price on a FS thread.

Nuchal humps are not a way to sex red devils/midases. Yes your midevil has pointed fins at the end, but almost ALL female/male red devils have pointed fins. Males just have skinnier, longer, and sharper dorsal fins than females.

Because that is an amazing looking female I would sell her for $30 minimum. More like $40-$50 though.

Unfortunatly the Australian market says that I cannot and should it expect more han $15 for her. It's such a shame for a good fish like that go to waste.
