help, silver aro head up tail down?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He could have had a concussion or brain damage. Keep the lights out, keep people out of the room. Add some salt. Cover the tank with a towel so it isn't disturbed by movement. Do more regular water changes and keep your fingers crossed. I am pretty sure the hitting the top injured it.

I was just stating fact in your thread. if he hit his head to hard how could this lead to the wonkey shape he has now? im very worried as I love my arowana

I not to long ago saw a thread about a bichir that smashed his head on a rock REALLY hard! Its entire neck was kinked but even though it requires additional care it still survived and as far as i know still ok today... Also there are LOTS of cases where a clown knife breaks its head trying to get a feeder but some still survive... So i am trying togive you hope here bro... If i was in your shoes i would feel TERRIBLE! So hopefully this will help you be a little less worried. We ALL love our fish and want the best for them... Oh and BTW that thing from earlier lets just bury the hatchet and be friends, ok? :)

Sorry to hear that ur aro is behaving that way bro.. happened to me once when my aro was still around 4".. couldnt understand how n why it happened, but i did damage control.. changed to partial RO water.. dim the lights to minimize it being startled.. hand-fed it (very very very carefully), move tankmates (if any) and let it recover slowly.. its painful to see, and u'll feel sad.. but keep ur fingers crossed..

peace to all!! :-)
