Agreed those are adult and juvie C. Gachua, nice little dwarfs. They are very adaptable to just about any conditions but you'll see the best color out of them in cooler sub tropical temps with sumer/winter varration. An unheated tank in eastern canada works out quite well.

There is a ban on owning any channa sp. in Quebec and althought these bans are often loosely enforced i would advise your buddy not to advertise it online.

Take a look at the last pic that shows a few snakeheads. In that pic, you see 2 snakeheads that are looking "directly" at the camera (one of them is the one at the rightmost spot in the photo). Take a close look of the bottom of these 2 snakeheads -- do you see the pelvic fins now, which look like / \ at the bottom of these two snakeheads.

You are completely right. I had to enlatge the pix,mold fart i am.

Pelvic fins are clearly visible.

I want a rainbow snakehead so bad They are probably my most wanted fish right after atf or armatus.but they are illegl because some douschebag decided to throw snakeheads in the river

The tail fin is a tell tale sign of a Channa Gachua. Juveniles are looking like Gachuas too,,. as the comments above are indicating.
