I got rid of my two Damsels the other day for obvious reasons. (they're dicks). I am now looking to stock with something new, but because of the small size I wasn't sure what to go with. My apology for this not being a "Monster" tank, but eventually I will move on to bigger saltwater setups. I came up with a few options that I posted in a Poll so let me know what you guys think by either voting or posting here!

Thanks for all and any help!
Saltwater isn't my strongest subject. I'm more of a Freshwater guy lol

You're looking at keeping one (maybe two) small fish in there.

A flame angel will not work as it gets too big & is too active. Damsels are out as well due to size & aggression. Chromis are out as they're a schooling fish, and this aquarium is too small for that. Personally, I would do a blenny & a goby and call it good at that; those two will give you plenty of color & activity while not making the aquarium overstocked provided that you filter it properly.

Personally I'd get a small angler with a few easy corals, that's why I chose lose it!

I have been looking at a few Gobies and Blennys. Most species get about 6" to 8" though if my knowledge is correct? I really like the Diamond Sleeper Goby and they are awesome sand sifters which is what I am looking for. And I'll prolly go with a Royal Gramma as a tank mate. Do you think that would be an alright combo for semi-long term?

I have been contemplating corals for a while, but since it's only a 10g I didn't wanna spend too much money on corals when I'm not sure if they will even survive. I may go with the Royal Gramma and Goby combo. The Grammas are really peaceful compared to my old Damsels and the Diamond Sleeper Goby is an awesome sand sifter which is what I would want as far as Gobies are concerned. And I probably will upgrade tank size after a while, but since I have 3 freshwater tanks I didn't want to spend too much time and money on saltwater just yet. Overtime I may upgrade to a 75g/90g Reef tank :headbang2

I have a Scarlet Hermit Crab, Mexican Turbo Grazer Snail, and two Astrea Snails already. I have a link to the setup with the Damsels in my signature to give you a better idea of what I am working with. I had a couple other hermits and snails, but they have since passed. I just got the second Astrea today.

Think more along the lines of a bicolor blenny (typically maxes out at or below 4") and a yellow prawn goby (typically maxes out at or below 3"). Even that might be pushing it, so just one fish is going to be far more ideal for maintaining proper water quality.

I kinda figured I would run into stocking problems due to the size of the tank, but being more of a freshwater guy I wanted to start small. IF I did go with a Diamond Sleeper and a Royal Gramma, how long do you think I could keep them in the 10g before needing to upgrade? The smallest Goby my store has is about 2" and the smallest Gramma is a bout 1.5" to 2". I only have a Marineland Penguin 150gph w/Bio-Wheel on the tank, but those are rated for up to 30g tanks. No protein skimmer and no powerheads. I do 1 gallon water changes once a week with Nutri-SeaWater and I changed the carbon every 3-4 weeks.
