It's not the size of the Acei that makes them need a 6' tank, it's their natural open swimming patterns/habits that designate the 6'. They would be ok in the 4' tank and you'd have no problems with aggression, but watching them swim in a 6' is awesome. The barely have enough room to get started in a 4' tank.

That's odd about your albinos. I've had more issues with the cobalt blues around here than with the albinos. Shame you're having so many problems, they really add something to the tank

I'm not saying your wrong i just disagree. I bet any mbuna in a 6 foot tank is a sight to see :)

I know what you mean about the albinos. I'm so frustrated because they look really nice in the tank. On the other hand my cobalts are doing great. I lost one to aggression in QT but otherwise they are healthy and eating great.

Don't take me the wrong way, I'm not saying you're wrong either. :)

I lost two cobalt blues the other day for no reason. They may have been getting harassed but I didn't see any of it at any time so I'm not sure what happened to them. How big are you getting your albinos? Maybe try getting some at a bigger size and see if that changes your luck.. I've seen your tank and you have enough hiding places and good rock so that shouldn't be the issue.

Ok I just wanted to make sure :) Sometimes on here I get misunderstood.

I hate when fish die for no reason. Many of my albinos have gone this way. Eating one day then dead the next. I lost 2 to bloat which was my own fault.

The one's I've been getting have been close to or over 2". I've thought about getting some larger ones but not many places in my area carry them and when they do the fish are $16 each. Which isn't horrible but a little painful at the same time :) There is one at the lfs now that is about 3.5 ". the only reason I haven't bought this one is because of an odd bump on it's side. The albinos don't sell too well so I figure I have time to keep an eye on this fish and see how it does. Right now I have 5 that have been holding on for a month. One is really runty and odd looking but still is living so I'll take what I can get.
