What temperate water fish are good for life in a ten gallon, has a temperature range of 68f-86f, hard water, ph of 8, current inhabitants are dwarf crayfish and snails. PLEASE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THESE PARAMETERS ARE WELCOME ALL I CAN THINK OF ARE GUPPYS AND MOSQUITOE FISH.:(

least killifish, or florida flagfish would be good in a 10 gallon both are easy to keep

Are their fish that are more odd or ugly or just wierd.

Mudminnows or speckled madtoms but they would most likely eat the dwarf crays and snails. Or banded pygmy sunfish-these look monsterish. Also possibly a pair of 3 spined sticklebacks. Your parameters really limit the options.

yah thanks P0Gs what part of my parameters should i change, i can keep the water warmer than 68 quite easily. hardness i think i need a ro unit, and the ph i was told caan be tolerated by most fish.

go with some of the dwarf sunfsh species

ok ill look more into the dwarf sunfish.

The size of the tank limits the species as does the temperature at 86. Try to not let it get above 80 for prolonged periods and you should be fine. Also, dwarf sunfish require live food and a heavily planted tank.

for now it looks like i got to figure out an effectie way to cool my tank to below 86f so far all i have is ice bottles and a fan.
