golden nuggets require protein in their diet- thats probably why it starved...they're "grazers" in the wild- they sift thru organic stuff to find protein as they eat dead things in the river as well as veggie matter- but not ALAGE stuff they're yucky to them.

on the other hand it could have a bug within it. who knows.

should have fed it bloodworms or shrimp- I would have told you to immediately go and get bloodworms and offer it thru a pipette next to its mouth. It's just up to the golden's perference as each individual is different however protien would have been crucial.

I did try the bloodworms that night but it was probley to late. Thanks though, i think with all the information i have gotten now the next one will be a sucess.

it could have been some type of virus/parasite and it just kicked in after you got it if that was the case that you tried your best.
