How is your ray doing today? Anymore info you can give about body condition, like koltsix asked? Is it eating yet?

i just got home from work it is dead. he was at the bottom this morning acting pretty normal....i moved the catfish last night, the water was a little cloudy but the parameters are still what they were before i put him in.

check your test kit expiration date.

mine kept saying weird readings, i decided to check the expiry date.
i'd purchased them in late feb of this year..... they had expired early 2008. i was astonished. ever since i've ripped open the package and checked the expiry date before i leave the store.

Cloudy water is a sure sign that something was wrong.

Do not buy any more fish until you have worked out why the filtration might not be correct.

Just because the other fish had tolerated the water does not mean it was all ok. I would start with new test kits.

Were you using a sump or an external and what media was in it / them.

I suspect that any other type of filter is not up to the job and you need good quality media that it very mature???

Check your air supply. When mine was floating I couldn't take my eyes off him. Then I notice 2 silver dollars at the top of the water. Checked air and the bubbler had went out and they was gasping for air. Now my stingray is being normal.
