You need to relax and be patient.;) Let clean water and salt do their job.

I thought tigs don't do well w/ salt. ....am I wrong ? probably the exact quantity added per gallon would be helpful.

You just need to dissolve salt before you add. The problem with majority of catfish and loach enthusiasts is they forget to dissolve. I made the same mistake before which cost me almost all my catfishes and loaches. When I dissolved again (despite being wary since the new batch had ich issues), nobody died from the salt treatment anymore. Salt burns the skin. It's why even in marine setups, salt is dissolved first before you add. A teaspoon per gallon will suffice.

okay i didn't add salt yet does anyone know what the measurement of salt to gallons should be?

I use salt with no problems on my loaches and catfish ....been saying that since day 1 its not a big problem when you do it right.

btw lupins right time does heal. I had a roseline shark completely lose its tail due to a fungus and it regrew back with no problems in 6 months or so.

Including the caudal peduncle? Pics?

I already indicated the dosage in my post earlier. Check post #7.
