how much salt? what does that do exactly?

1 tablespoon per 5gal...make sure it is fully disolved... first add it slowly...it helps keep the wound clean and stimulates healing from what i understand...i have used it along with like 90% or better of the mfk'ers on here and i am suprised i was the first to recomend this treatment...it also works for ick, and some infections...

salt should help a lot, as well as the previously mentioned raise in water temp.

the most important thing is keep the water params as good as possible with WC's to prevent infection.

he should heal fairly quickly if the wound does not become infected

good luck

use a lil bit of aquarium salt fosho, hey man i feel yeah, similar thing happened to me when i tried to move my fatty tiger shovelnose, he was squirmin outa the net cuz he was so fat then i tried to scoop him up cuz he got tangled up in the net, he slice up my finger dow to my bone, there was blood everywhere, and then i had to cut him out of the net too, i was scared for my catfish cuz his fin got all twisted up, he 's in my friend pond now, hes doin better, he grew outta the lil piece of net that was left aound his fin, as long as he keeps eatin i think he'll be ok
