The WORST case of HLLE (Head and Lateral Line Erosion) I have by far....ever seen. Is that fish living?

I was going to ask if it's alive too. How long did it take to get like that? Have you treated it with Metro? I'd put some Iodine directly on the sore and start treating it ASAP. Have you tested your water? How often do you do water changes/clean your filter ect?

Poor Fish, make sure to keep up on your water changes and ensure your fish are getting proper nutriton to make sure this doesn't happen again....I found the fact that it's head caved in when you touched it mildly disturbing :/

Oh wow.. Poor fish.. You can catch it and apply Hydrogen peroxide on the wound to clean it.. avoid getting it in the eyes/gills though. Do huge(50%+) water changes daily, add Metrodinazole.. and hope for the best. The chances of your fish surviving this is very slim..

Just out of curiosity.. Why did you touch its head?

Also.. If your fish doesn't show signs of improvement in a matter of a couple days.. I think it would be best to put it out of its misery..

I have to agree here. That thing has to be suffering big time. How did it get this bad without you noticing?
