I purchased some small hikari sinking algae wafers. I currently have been feeding my bullhead goldfish flakes. He will come out of hiding to feed when I feed him flakes. He will eat them off the bottom as well as from the surface. I want to make the switch because state me if I'm wrong on this. They are more nutritious for him.
So I dropped in one of the wafers and it just sat on the bottom and my bullhead didn't even budge. Are these not a good food source for this little guy? He is about 3 inches long. I think I just need to let him warm up to them. Any ideas? Are frozen blood worms a good choice? Keep in mind I want the best for my water quality and also that my fish gets a nutritious healthy diet. Gold fish flakes just don't cut it for either of these things.
