Ultra clean water is best for quick healing, keep thw nitrates under 10ppm.

The cichlids will be fine, not sure what the effect will be with the catsfish though. I use aquarium salt, never heard of using the kosher salt.

What is wrong with the arowana?

My marble pims were living in a salted aquarium before with no side effects...so i guess it is OK for cats.

the other fish will be ok with salted water, however im not sure about that type of salt. id try to get your hands on some regular aquarium salt just to play it safe.

Table salt is no good... iodine will eventually kill the fish,.....
