Im planing on treating my short body fh in my 20 gal hospital tank with epsom salt.the flawerhorn has lost most of her appetite and has white stringy poop. my question is how much salt do i add per gallon and should i do 30-50% water changes per day for about a week? directions please lol. thanks mfk for any help!

Depends what type of sickness your FH has epsom salt doesnt work all the time for white stringly pooh cos you dont know what's inside. Its more so to help the fish pooh i believe, out of all the fish i treated it only worked once.

Other times i had to use worming tablets again the epsom salt won't be able to kill the worms.

That's because you didn't follow the instructions in the link below. Read that, and the links within that discussion, and you'll understand how epsom salt works, and doesn't work. If adminsitered correctly, it does much more than act as a laxative. When one sees stringy white feces in a FH what they are really seeing is the fish shedding the lining of its intestinal tract, which in the vast majority of cases = internal parasites.

so if i can just use a syringe with epsom salt water in it that would work? cuz i dont know how i could force my fh to eat its pellets

Yes, but you need to get the 3% epsom salt solution down his throat, or most of the solution will simply spill out of his gills.
A soft tubing (so as not to tear the throat lining) attached to the syringe will work best.
