My 75g is loaded with trumpet snails and most recently i think from feeder fish, i have mystery snails growing at a rapid pace. I experimented with a 38g tank filled with dwarf cichlids, yoyo loaches and clown loaches. In my opinion, yoyo loaches are monsters when it comes to snails. I once in a while will see my clown loaches work at a snail, but the yoyo loaches will relentlessly roll the snail through the sand until it can get a good bite on it.
The bottom of the 38 is a snail graveyard. Empty shells everywhere. One other thing, if you have sand, a reptile sand scoop will work perfect. When i feed the loaches, i take the sand scoop and get a big scoop of substrate and shake it until theres nothing but snail shells on it. I'd imagine an hour or so of scooping would remove almost all of them.
