I recently upgraded from a 55 gal to a 125 gal. but I am not sure what to put in it. I was thinking possibly a Tiger Oscar a managuense and a festae. Do you guys think this would work or will it end up being a bloodbath in the future? If so do you think that I could possibly put another fish and have 4 in there. Maybe a flowerhorn or something a little different than you ordinary LFS fish. Normally I would just put one large cichlid in my 55 but I would like to have a variety in my new tank. Any suggestions would be appreciated even if it suggesting different fish.

well the Oscar would be about the least desired fish. I'm kind of looking for larger fish that are aggressive but still have enough space to not kill each other. Hence no tinfoils or salvinis. I have had setups in my 55 with GT's and jewels and other normal sized cichlids but am looking for something a little meaner
well you could put a pair of RD or a jd and a pair or salvani so what kinda fish specifically do you want
well I would definitely like a Jaguar cichlid (managuense) and a festae (red terror) but I'm afraid they will kill each other or kill everything else when they get large. Basically I'm wondering if I have enough room for these two let alone anything else. And if there is enough room what else I could put in there that would be able to hold it's own
p.s. I am planning on buying them all as Juviniles and putting them in at the same time.

well i have a female jag 3 inches and a red terror with some other cichlids all around 1-4 inches and i have no problem but in the long run i will need some where around a 400- 600 with all the fish i have so in a 125 you could have a couple when they are juveniles 1-5 inches then upgrade later when they get bigger or seperate them later on
I've thought about doing an mbuna setup before but I've always been discouraged by the fact that you're not supposed to feed them live fish. Maybe it's a little wierd but I love watching little fish get eaten by bigger fish
You might get lucky and find a docile jag, mine (in my avatar) will tolerate anything that won't fit in his mouth. The only way to find out is to give it a shot.
Another thing you may consider is getting a pair of vieja of some sort....they would look awesome and they have plenty of agression from my experience.
Be careful feeding live fish, I know some of the LFS in Indy have some pretty nasty feeders. quarantine and gutload them for sure if you do

yeah that's kinda what I was figuring is I would have to get a little lucky. Rallysman where are you at in IN? I am on the southside of Indy.
