HELP W/RED DEVIL SICK

I noticed over last few weeks that my 8" RD has gotten sick.
It has bulging eyes,swelled belly (hard to tell if isn't just fat)
also it's privates are sticking out more than usual.
(could be primed for breeeding-full of eggs)
sometime see it rub on rocks but not alot.

eating fine,water is good,fish doesn't seem effect by sickness.

Q.
is it sick?
could this heal on own?
if you guys think it's sick which meds are best ?
what combos of meds ?

I do biweekly water changes on this tank and clean filters in dirty tank water.replacing every other filter.It is a 55 and the RD has the whole tank to it's self.(will not share :irked: )
 
well if its on its own it wont be carrying so it may be bloat my kenyi died of bloat the other day it sounds the same. no meds for bloat just keep it off the food for a few days and see what happens bloat is just something which depends on luck IMO aslong as your not over feeding it should be fine. also when my kenyi had bloat it just sat in the corner gasping for breath not much you can do im afraid.
 
if its not sitting on bottom gasping it may not be bloat might be a good idea to search on google or something like that. i would do for you but running late going on vacation for 2 weeks:D
 
I have introduced 2 different RDs/Midas to this fish in past few months.
didn't like either one of them :irked:
Were not as big either tho. ,about half it's size.
most likely to small to stand up to it.

been over 2 mths since tried put another in with it.
waiting for other fish to grow or buy another one big enough.

hoping to get fry from this fish.Is a beauty.
 
The fish is breathing normally today.
noticed 1 eye is sticking out more than other.
privates still sticking out,could be normal for this fish(don't know)
always stuck out some,just more recently.
eye doesn't look all that bad.(eye is not out of socket)bulging slightly.

read up on several meds and combination of meds.:nilly:
anyone with experience with meds, advice please.

fish is in 55 should I move to smaller tank to treat ?
which meds ?
could it heal on own ?

have treated ick many times but this is confusing.

Have you ran any water tests? Can you get some pictures of this fish? Sounds like he may have a pop eye. I have lost 2 Trimac Cichlids to this.
