I am a bit confused. In the USA, many people use rosy red minnows (pimephales promelas) also known as rosies for feeders. The rosy barb (puntius conchonius) is a completely unrelated animal and is kept as an aquarium fish. Which fish is the OP talking about?

I first thought the same thing since he mentioned using them for feeders. But he says "Barb" so I assume he means puntius sp.

So OP are these fish long and slender? lol
