I have a 12gal i am going to put the suncatfish in till the Lima heals... because i am not getting a bigger tank in till Christmas... :(

I agree with this. It might just be a territorial issue that could be resolved by just adding a few more hiding places.

If you consider 13 inches and 24 inches huge......
 
Are you feeding live feeders the reason i ask is becaus my clownknife was a pain in the but to my other fish when i got him they fed him live feeders at the LFS so after a while and he didnt stop i took him and put him in his own tank till i got him off feeders and he was eating good took about 4 weeks and now it is a big change he will look and chase the other fish a few inches but he doesnt hurt them any more and he is steadly geting better dont know if it will work for you and i do agree with adding mor places to hide try moving around the decor as well incase it is a teritory thing good luck

i might just get rid of the suncatfish and get another fish that i have been wanting..
