I actually have 2 test kits one is older than the other I just tested with the other and it's the exact same ... So 2 kits bith test normal everythingI am inclined toward abnormal amonia levels but again numbers are a mystery. I had a same bout few months ago. Numbers were good except nirates .Fire eel went flat down. Retro was upside down and my prized wolf fish jumped and was next to food cupboad.![]()
It's not tap water it's well water iv been using the same water for 3 years now.... And it's only my bichirs doin this my other fish I have have never had a single problem .... It's only my prized bichirsOne of the kinds of bacterial infection, gram negative can't be treated by gram positive medication. Bacteria could explain why it happened in both tanks if it's cross contaminated. I would definitely get your tap tested though.
Massivore is less than 2 months old and stays sealedExpired massivore ?
Wasn't same time platinum and baby lap died a little over a month ago and then Saturday my big bichirs started itonly thing the lfs tests for is ammonia nitrate and nitrite an ph with the exact same test kit that I have 2 kits ofI would have the water checked at the LFS just for peace of mind. Something's wrong, two tanks at the same time? Some type of contaminant or the test kit is off. If you do a water change and add prime then test the water there should be an ammonia reading (false positive).
