I just got in the mail today a 2260 and a 2262. They are huge but will fit under my stand. Nothing but good reports of years and years of worry free service on these filters, so that's why i got them for my tank. I like things that last.

I can't recall the cost for all the media, but it will not be terribly cheap just because it's Eheim. The great part about canisters is that you can cheaply customize your own filtration and what you put in there. That's one of the best parts about Eheim, it's basically an empty cylinder and you can stack as you like.
