angels are super tricky... they are hard to protect since they are soooo soft, they don't seem like they would do well in a fast paced evironment i.e. heavy current... W/ agressive fish... these are in your community i presume...?

Kent Marine makes a product called RO right. You have to add it to the ro water before you put it in the tank. I use RO/DI water for my Angels and Uaru. I use RO right and never had a problem.
i was having PH issues in my 100 gal.. ammonia spiked often and we did massive water changes almost every week, and it never seemed to get better. And there was a bad smell.. almost like sewage that we couldn't get rid of. Found out that my PH was 6.0.
i spent half a day reading and trying to find something to add to bring the PH up. What i ended up doing was adding about 10 lbs of crushed coral to the substrate and letting the tank cycle for 24 hours. And now it's 7.4 and the sewage smell is nearly gone.. and the ammonia problem is gone too.

BEWARE...don't use copper with the black ghost as he is scaleless. it will burn him to death. ( the voice of experience)
did u treat your water before putting them in. i had a angel once and my sister turned of the heater and it died the next morning. maybe its not hot enough
