oaxacas are more known as vieja zontas . i'll try to get them when they are small , the reason i wanted a con pair was to ensure that the cons won't get bullied and that they will be able to hold there own against a of the larger cichlids .

A male con shouldn't have a problem defending himself against a fish a few inches bigger than himself, especially if they are raised together as juvis.

Vieja Zonata is one of the most aggressive species of Vieja as far as I know... and grow to like 12"

the one im getting is only 6'' so its still kinda small , can these cichlids live with plants ? are they too aggressive for the stock i mentioned ? i know severums are pansies so would she get bullied ?

At 6" the fish could very well be showing it's aggressive side (I know this to be the case with many other new worlds).

Can't help you as far as knowing if they are "too aggressive" though.

I'd worry about the jag, if you're still going that route, more than anything and not because of the tank size. It's the most likely to become too aggressive and over time, destroy the other fish.

Salvini are meaner then convicts

As adults maybe, but my 3" firemouth killed my 3" salvini and my 3" con doesn't take any **** from my Jd, firemouth or GT. I think it really depends on the fish. I'm very glad cons don't grow to 9-10" though.

I think cichlids are a bit of hit and miss but generally pick the least aggressive species and introduce them first. Introduce the most aggressive last. And jags get 15-16" so I don't think a 100 will work for life. Could work as a growout though.
