HELP! Windows Me taskbar problem!

My DD was playing on the computer last night.

Now the toolbar is vertical on the left side of the screen, instead of on the bottom. "Start" is on the top, the time and icons are all squished on the bottom. This is really annoying and I can't find any info on how to get it back to normal.

Things I've tried:

dragging the toolbar back to the bottom (only makes it wider)
going to properties
going into "toolbars"
searching the help files (gives me usless info. on stuff like adding things to toolbar)
restoring my computer settings to an earler date (Sunday night checkpoint)
going to Microsoft's website (gives same info. as help)

Nothing is working!

it will drag to the bottom, just dont try to slide ur mouse cursor along the edge of the screen, if yuo grab the taskbar in the middle, go to the middle of where the taskbar wil reside....


thats the correct fix, the BEST fix.. get rid of WindowsME it sucks monkey balls!

There is also these little bars on the taks bar that you can drag which will place it to where ever you drag them to.

ash, sometimes those bars arent there, for example if you right click on the task bar, you can select Lock the Taskbar, so as not to make an accidental mess of your "stuff"

didnt know... not a comp genuis just knew that I was able to move the entire task bar around with them...

OK, I got it back to normal, had to call my computer eng. brother.

Turns out I just needed to right click on the time, and drag the cursor over to the center of my screen.

I wish I could get a new computer, this one is a Com-crap and over 5 years old.

Ha, I keep my taskbar on the left side with it verticle, when its on the bottom the tasks are to big and spread out, and gets me all confused I keep it as small as it gets to...
