I am referring to plate or float glass in my posting about the 30” limit of ½” glass, not tempered glass.Anything fish, are you referring to tempered or un-tempered glass?
Often tempered glass will have information about the tempering and manufacturer name stamped in a corner, look carefully.
Tempered glass is stronger and will stand up to more water pressure; however I do not know of any charts showing the safety margins. I would love to see one.
Further, if tempered glass should break the entire window will disintegrate into glass fragments and all the water and fish will spill out on the floor. With plate glass there is most often a crack which may leak some but will likely retain enough water to preserve your fish collection.
