You did the right thing by saving him from the pet shop. If it doesn't make it you still have a good heart.

Thank you. That means a lot. That place had both the common wolves I got too. They are fine though they also have a tsn and a lima. I can't house the tsn but I want to save the lima. This place is gross and get fish that most people are too irresponsible to own

I have not. He is less skiddish now though. Perhaps soon he will eat live. In trying cichlid sticks today

I commend your efforts, but buying fish from a gross place may save those specific fish but it´s actually worse in the long run because it kills many others.

Firstly, because you will not be able to buy them all and secondly because by buying fish from them your are sustaining their business and giving them the (financial) means to put more and more fish in the same or worse conditions.

From a business perspective if a shop has fish in bad conditions and people still buy from them, it´s all good for the shop: they make money from the sales with a low investment.

If, on the contrary, nobody bought fish from "gross lfs", they´d understand their business (conditions) would have to change or close.

Sometimes, the best way is to let fish die in bad shops... even though it looks cruel it´s the only way of saving many more from the same faith in the future.

Okay so it has been about a week since I got the guy. His tail fin in severely beaten up but seems to be healing. I just put plants in the tank, being that school and work have been controlling every facet of my life an have had to rush to do water changes. I have yet to see him eat but have left plenty of feeders in the tank. Although I think the wolves usually get them. I do see a bit of a belly on him today though. I think he got his beak on a feeder while I was in class. Any help on getting him to eat more?
