Great job you two! Sudden changes in PH is more dangerous and deadly than keeping them in a steady PH environment even if high.

The current strains of domestic Angels have adjusted to being kept in fairly high PH. I've kept and bred them in PH higher than 8.0.

I've kept even my wild caught Altums in tap water which I stabilize with a PH of 7.6 just by airing it out.

pH was not an issue and I don't believe your angel has health issues at all. Don't adjust it, Crystal. You will only be harming all your fish by altering the water chemistry too much.

fish started to swim upside down and on it's side so went to get swim bladder treatment asked advice from the specialist there who confirmed it was likely to be that and felt my water sample was fine for the fish i had unfortunately the fish was dead when i got backall other fish are thriving and healthy wonder if it was in shock after the move

Sorry to hear. Very possible. BTW, keep an eye on the neons. Angels find them tasty.
