could your blackworms be going bad? Maybe you have a rotten batch and the fish are sick.

Go get a new batch now and see what happens. Throw in some guppies too in there just in case.

stess scared if wild caught no used to being around people and different inviorment
Ive had them since may 23 and they were fine before. They were all yellow and not dark green.

as for the color, mine change all the time. when i feed them guppies, they get all dark and retreat to the corner to swallow their food :)

I wouldnt worry about it, try a new batch like was said earlier. If no, put a dozen guppies in, if they dont take to them, then worry. Mine are constantly yawning, and at times scratch, but there are no signs of ich anywhere on them. But there slammin the hell out of guppies and are at 3" now. High temps will also cause them to stress and not eat. I keep my water at 82-84, if i noticed ich then i'll bump it up alittle.

What size are your Orino's? I'm assuming they are still small if you only have them on Black worms. I only use blackworms when necessary, I'll avoid them when possible. They can bring in unwanted parasites to your tank.

In this case, it does not seem to be the case. When you have black worms, you will undoubtedlly get these 'blobs' of white stuff. This is their excrement and needs to be removed on a daily basis. If you do not, you lose the live black worms, and run the risk of feeding this to your fish.

Anyhow, I'd recommend baby guppies. If what you have are some of the small Orinos currently sold through Rich, or Jeff, or RW, this is your best bet. Thats how I've kept mine without any issues. Keep the temp @ 85-86 degrees. They are prone to ick at this size. Don't panic. Small water change (20%), and let it runs it course. The more you mess with them, the more stressed they will be.

Keep us posted.

Yeah i got them from jeff. They are about 2.5+inches in length eye balling. So feeding blackworms and guppoes are pretty much the same. They both can carry parasites, right? Yeah i have just tried bloodworms and they mouthed them at least. At least i know they just dont like blackworms anymore.

Like superlaz, I avoid blackworms because of the possibility of parasites. They also stink! even with daily water changes and rinsing.

Your orinos sound really stressed. Quarantined feeders are much safer than live blackworms IMO.
