Help with breeding bettas please

Okay I checked at the 2 lfs I know, and I don't think they have any daphnia, just brine shrimp, which got me upset.
So would the babies accept non-moving food, like crushed betta pellets? Or is there anything else to feed them. I'd breed brine shrimp if I could, but I don't even have food for them.

You can find frozen baby brine shrimp by Hikari. The babies should be able to eat that. You could try crushing the pellets as well or buy some powdered first bite food for the babies. It's pretty easy to hatch brine shrimp if you just buy those packets.
Okay, I'll try the frozen baby brine shrimp. And what packets do you mean, like the "sea monkey" ones for kids?
No, the lfs should sell small packs of baby brine shrimp eggs that are packed with salt rocks, enough to hatch one batch.
Oh, sweet. They better have them or I'll be pissed off, or go find some other better lfs. Thanks for the info again, I hope to get the female as soon as my mom lets me.
