I was just wondering if this will be a good build to hold four ten gallons (two on the top and two on the bottom). Mostly I'm wondering if just a X with 2x4s will be enough support? This is my first tank build so I'm not to skilled with this so any advice is welcomed! Also what type of wood should I use? I've read so many different Posts/Forums that I'm not sure.

Thanks,
Justin

Make sure your cuts are true, use liquid nails and pick up a Kreg pocket hole jig. you will not need the "X" of 2x4. a 10 gallon tank weighs 75#. there is absolutely no reason on earth to over build a stand for 4 of them, my recent build is for an 84 gallon built of plywood only. Take your time, and build it well and you will have a great project.

Make sure the weight of the aquarium is being supported by wood and not hardware.

What you have pictured will work fine for four 10 gallon tanks.
