what does that mean to u?

to me it sounds like the 120 will have the heater, filter and probably fish. the 120 will recirculate water to the small tanks that do not have heaters, filters. its safe to say these will have fish because the 120 has all the heaters and filters in it.

more details need to bee given in order for a better response.

Are you trying to save money by not having to buy a filter/heater for the small tanks? If so it seems a small savings vs the hastle and potential risks (spills, disease transfer, if one tank fails they all do, etc) of having a connected system.
