Help with fish id

definate female, my guess would be rd x midas of some sort nice fish, find a big male fh or a big male anything and see what you can get, nothing wrong with hybrids and crosses if there for your enjoyment , the issue with hybrids is when people do it for profit or they bs you on what there selling you, i would take that female in a heartbeat....keep it... grow it... or ship it to me lol. nice fish

It's a female red devil. Males have a bump on their head unless this fish is to young. Couldn't be a Midas because her lips are too big.

they are a nice fish with a bad rap, ... key to no agression is space, keep them in an improper tank and they get nasty..imo
its a keeper, i would find her a nice mate
 
There is no way to sex a midas or red devil or midevil based on looks. Female midevils can get nuchal humps as well. Also there is no way to visually tell if it is a red devil or midas. Unless you bought it from a reputable dealer you must assume it is a midevil. You do have a very attractive looking fish I am sure it will look great as it gets older.
