Help with flowerhorn

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just purchased Erythromycin...is this what I want to treat him with?...I have a 20 gallon hospital tank...can I unplug my canister filter I have plenty of water movement without it...I am concerned with his comfort...can I not dose this med in his 55?

I came into this thread late and was only commenting on the meds you were discuesing. I just looked at the the video and the fish looks like it has a swim bladder issue. I would use Meth blue combined with Maracin-two as my first corse of treatment. I would not use Erythromycin for this at this time.

This is now thread #3 or #4. You are way late to the discussion. lol

He looks like he either has a bad case of swim bladder disease or swim bladder cancer. You should buy the stress coat medication and pour in aquarium salt. This should make him feel better and make him heal faster. When a fish is tipping over like that then there is something wrong with his swim bladder because the swim bladder is there to control how top he fish swims, floats, and moves.

No offense, but that's not going to do sweet tweet for his fish.

Stay on course Tyson, we know what the problem is and you have been given some solid advice as to how to treat it.
