Depends on the parasite and medication. Praziquental in General Cure does not have to be fed. The metronidazole component does. Right now, we're looking at using praziquental (same thing in Hikari PraziPro).

I have had these fish for almost a year with zero health issues. At first I was thinking prolapse, but you all seem to think parasite. I have General Cure so I will probably start with that unless someone gives me a better option. I don't have any other meds on hand but am willing to get something if you we think there is something better I should try.

I got home yesterday from work and it was gone, fish acted fine. I will assume it must have been a worm of some sort. I think at this point it makes sense to soak food in medication...
