Help with green terror male or female??

Hi this is my first post so sorry if it’s in the wrong place. I just wondered if any one could help with whether my green terror is male or female. It’s 6-7 inches, iv had it since 2 inches, i believe it to be male but the breeding tube seems very large. Any help appreciated

long colorful fins its a male, females are not as pretty as males there color is more faded.

As you have already been told he is for sure a male. For a comparison, here is my female with her breeding tube down. As you can see it is a lot bigger then the males business, lol.


Also, are you sure it’s your male that isn’t interested? How big is your female?
From my pair it is obvious that they only spawn when she wants to. She has withheld spawning for a couple months now even though my male is still eager.

Wow that’s a nice female. She’s about 3 inches now I thought they weren’t sexually mature till this size but she did have eggs in the shop(infertile ones)

Thank you. My female didn’t start laying eggs till she hit 5”, that was without a male in the tank.
I as told the fry from my pair spawned shortly after going to their new home. They would have been around 3”. So maybe females are mature by then? My male successfully spawned with my female at only 2”. Pretty crazy isn’t it?
